What Is EstateSaleFinder? A Letter From Our Founders, Andy & Jac

    🧭 What Is EstateSaleFinder

EstateSaleFinder is more than a listing site — it's an Ai-powered toolkit for finding estate sales and for running the business behind them. In this letter, founders Andy and Jac share what they're building, who it's for, why they're starting in Florida, Texas, and California, and how you can be part of the beginning.

EstateSaleFinder isn't just a place to list estate sales. It's a toolkit for two very different people: the treasure hunter trying to find the good sales, and the estate sale company trying to run a better business. We built it for both, because both sides of this world deserve tools that actually work.

We're Andy and Jac, the founders. Here's what we're building and why, in our own words.

A sunlit home study with an open notebook, a cup of coffee, a brass lamp, and estate-sale treasures beside a laptop showing a map — the founders' desk where EstateSaleFinder was imagined

A letter from Andy & Jac

Hi — we're Andy and Jac.

We want to start with a confession: we didn't build EstateSaleFinder because we saw a market opportunity on a spreadsheet. We built it because we fell in love with the hunt, and then we fell in love with the people on the other side of the table — the families letting go of a lifetime of things, and the estate sale companies who walk into those homes and handle it all with more care than anyone realizes.

Somewhere between showing up before dawn to a sale and watching a company owner photograph three hundred items by hand at midnight, it hit us. Both sides of this world deserved something better than what existed. Buyers deserved a real way to find the sales. And the companies — the small, hardworking businesses that make estate sales happen — deserved real tools, not just another website to shout their listing into.

So we built it. This letter is us telling you exactly what "it" is.

    What is EstateSaleFinder, really?

For the treasure hunter, it's the map to the good stuff. You can search estate sales, garage sales, vintage shops, and local sellers near you, plan a route that hits them all in one morning, save your favorites, and set a wishlist alert for a specific item — a certain Pyrex pattern, a mid-century dresser, a first-pressing record — so we ping you the moment one shows up nearby. It's free for buyers. Always has been.

For the estate sale company or seller, it's the operating system your business never had. And this is the part we most want you to hear:

This is not just a listing website

We have to say that plainly, because most tools in this space are just directories. You pay to post. You cross your fingers. You hope the right person scrolls by. That's not us.

EstateSaleFinder is a toolkit built to help your estate sale company grow. Most of these are hard to find all in one place anywhere else:

    • Ai item pricing from real sold data. Snap a photo and our Ai identifies the item and pulls what it actually sold for — not hopeful asking prices — so you can price with confidence instead of guessing. Every price is a suggestion, and it's always yours to override.
    • A full CRM and client pipeline. Every lead, walkthrough, contract, and past client lives in one place. The house you tour today becomes a tracked lead, then a signed client, then a completed sale — without retyping a thing.
    • A pre-sale walkthrough that protects your margin. Turn a house tour into an upfront profitability report. It scores the difficulty, recommends your crew size, and estimates real earnings before you sign the contract.
    • A sale marketing report. For every sale, we read your inventory and hand you a tailored plan of where to advertise and which items to feature — so you market like a pro without the guesswork.
    • An Ai Social Media Studio. One photo goes in, and captions, hashtags, and ready-to-post graphics come out — for Instagram, Facebook, and wherever your buyers scroll. Schedule a full week of posts in under five minutes.
    • Keyword search and wishlist alerts that reach new buyers. We pull in a whole new generation of buyers who never went to estate sales — the collector hunting for exactly what's in your sale gets pulled right to your door.
    • Booths, storefronts, newsletters, embeds, and more — the pieces that let a small operation look and run like a big one.

We charge 0% commission on your sales. You keep everything you earn. Our job is to hand you better tools and more buyers — not to take a cut of your hard work.

We built this for the convenience shopper, not just the estate sale regular

Here's something we learned the hard way: most people who would love estate sales never actually go to them. They don't have two hours to scroll through five websites and a thousand photos just to figure out if anyone has the thing they're hunting for. But they absolutely will buy if you make it easy.

Think about the collector who only wants Pyrex Pink Daisy and doesn't care about anything else. The vinyl digger chasing one specific pressing. The interior designer trying to source real pieces for a client without driving all over town. The new homeowner who'd rather furnish a room with character than buy another flat-pack dresser. The parent rebuilding a vintage toy collection. The Blenko glass fan, the Fiestaware collector, the Griswold cast iron hunter, the Roseville pottery person — people who know exactly what they want and don't want to wade through photos of coffee mugs to find it.

That's where our keyword search and wishlist alerts become a game changer. They tell us what they want once. The moment a sale, booth, or shop near them has a match, we let them know. No scrolling. No guessing. They show up ready to buy — and a lot of them are buyers who never would've found you otherwise.

Our Ai isn't generic. It's built for this world.

There's a big difference between a general Ai chatbot and one that actually knows this business. Our Ai knows an estate sale from a garage sale, a Fiestaware colorway from a knockoff, and a 50/25/25 markdown schedule from a retail clearance. It was trained and tuned around estate sales, antiques, collectibles, and the people who buy and sell them.

That context matters. It means the price suggestions, the captions, the marketing reports, and the item descriptions sound like they came from someone who's been around estate sales — because in a way, they did. You're not getting a generic response; you're getting help from a system that learned the language of the hunt.

    Who is EstateSaleFinder for?

It's for the weekend treasure hunter who just wants to find the good sales without checking five websites. It's for the reseller, the picker, the antique dealer, the collector, and the interior designer sourcing real pieces. It's for the homeowner going through a downsizing, a move, or a loss, who needs to find a trustworthy company. And it's for the estate sale companies and sellers themselves — the beating heart of this whole thing — who deserve tools that respect how hard the work really is.

If you love the hunt, or you make the hunt possible, this was built for you.

Why are you only in three states right now?

Because we'd rather do this right than do it everywhere.

We're focused today on Florida, Texas, and California — three states with vibrant, active estate sale communities — so we can work closely with real companies and real buyers, listen hard, fix what's clumsy, and make the platform genuinely great before we scale it. Growing carefully in three states means every early member gets a product shaped partly by them, not a thin version stretched across fifty states on day one.

What are you doing to grow?

Our plan is simple and it's ambitious: go nationwide as soon as we responsibly can. Every week we're adding sales, onboarding companies, sharpening the tools, and expanding city by city.

But here's the honest truth — the fastest way we grow is with you. Every buyer who signs up, every company that lists a sale, every person who tells a friend makes the map fuller and the community stronger. That's why we've made it genuinely easy to join in:

    • It's free to sign up and use. Buyers are free forever, and we will always offer a free account for sellers.
    • Sellers get a 60-day free trial of our paid tools, exactly as it's built today — plenty of time to run real sales and see the difference for yourself.
    • No commission, ever. You keep what you earn.

Come be part of the start

Every good thing starts small, with a group of people who believed in it early. This is that moment for EstateSaleFinder.

If you've read this far, we think you might be one of those people. So here's our invitation: come get in at the beginning. Find your next treasure, or grow your business with tools built by people who genuinely love this world. Either way, you'll be helping build something that makes the whole estate sale community better — and you'll have been here since the start.

Create your free account and come find something. We can't wait to have you with us.

You Shouldn't Have to Put Your Whole Life on Hold to Run an Estate Sale

Being an estate sale operator can be all-consuming — and the pricing table is usually where your personal life goes to die. Jenna Pecor said it better than I could, so we're saying it together: the Institute for Estate Sale Professionals and EstateSaleFinder are working on the same problem from two directions. Free With Oatmeal: How Depression Glass Ended Up in Every Grandma’s Cupboard

It was free with a box of oats, free at the movies, free in a sack of flour — and somehow it survived a century of dishwashers and moves to sit in almost every grandmother’s cupboard in America.
